Valor Compounding Pharmacy focuses on specialized medications in order to improve the compounded medical experience for physicians and patients alike. Just like companies all around the world, when COVID-19 hit, Valor had to adjust. They stepped up their direct-to-your-doorstep shipping options and wanted a unique, custom animation to highlight these efforts.
Creating such an intensive animation was new challenge for Circa Design. As I had recently picked up some After Effects skills, I was assigned to assist one of Associate Designers with illustrating and producing the animation. Working on separate parts of the same animation was certainly a new and unique experience for me, but with storyboards and organized assets provided by the AD, the project came together quickly.
My contributions to this animation were focused mostly on scenes with the paper airplane. The AD focused on the scrolling scientific equipment while I was assigned to create the airplane and research the camera and light angles needed to create the proper effect for it to fly across the page, then reenter, pop the clouds, and then zoom in on the house. While this was my first foray into a fully animated scene, it certainly won't be my last.
